Dear Inglewood Unified School District Parents and Guardians,
The safety, health, and well-being of our students and staff are paramount to Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD). While there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in IUSD, this decision is being made as a protective measure to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, IUSD schools will be closed to students and visitors for two weeks.

Dear Inglewood Unified School District Families and School Community,
The health and safety of our students and staff are paramount to Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD). After long and careful deliberation, in a proactive effort to protect the health of our students and staff, the Inglewood Unified School District will close our campuses, including the Child Development Center and Adult School, to students beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020, for the next two weeks until further notice. We will begin to provide instruction remotely.

We are currently monitoring the COVID-19 situation as the health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority. All Inglewood Unified schools are open today.

On March 5, 2020, we communicated with you about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Since then, news of the spread of the COVID-19 around the world has dominated media headlines. I am in regular communication with the City of Inglewood, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH), and the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE).

The Inglewood Unified School District recently learned that Children of Promise Preparatory Academy (COPPA) sent a letter to parents claiming that IUSD’s reasons for denying the renewal of its charter were unfounded. While IUSD understands COPPA’s disappointment in the fact that their charter was not renewed, IUSD wishes to clarify several inaccuracies in their letter.

Please be informed that the LCAP Community Forum scheduled for March 10, 2020 at Morningside High School has been postponed.

at Inglewood High School.
